Background: With over 20 years of strength training, bodybuilding, and team athletics under his belt, Dissin draws from his experience as a fitness trainer at the Boyertown YMCA and his many years of guiding athletes on the field coaching Coventry Little League Baseball, Norchester Prep Legion Baseball, Vic Willis Adult Baseball and Coventry Youth Soccer. Plus, Corey was fortunate enough to train as a boxer under legendary two time world heavyweight champion Tim Witherspoon. In February 2010, Corey became one of the first ten people in the world to earn the Mixed Martial Arts Conditioning Coach certification from the Mixed Martial Arts Conditioning Association, the MMA certification division of NESTA. What he hasn’t shared in the gym, he’s shared in the classroom as a motivational speaker. Dissin’s straight-talking style preaching the benefits of sweat equity and hard work has been delivered to thousands of students in high schools and colleges all over the Delaware Valley.
Specialities: If I had to say what I think I’m best at, I would have to say it’s knowing how to motivate my clients. Every person responds differently, so having the ability to know how and when to apply the right type of cheering or constructive critique really sets me apart from my peers.
Favorite Exercises: I love anything different. From sandbags, to tractor tires, to agility ladders, I really enjoy utilizing unorthodox tools and routines.
Favorite part about being a Train with Corey personal trainer: The instant gratification. When I see a client use more weight or do more reps then they thought was possible, the payoff for me is immeasurable.
Best advice for someone considering the Train With Corey way: The hardest part to training with us is just showing up. Once you do, we take care of the rest. We have your exercise selection, your weights and your reps all mapped out.
